πŸ“š Courses

Your entire semester, organized in one place. Because remembering which professor teaches what shouldn't be a full-time job.

What are Courses?

Courses are the heart of UniTracker. They're like folders that organize everything related to each class you're taking.

Every task knows where it belongs. Every note has a home. Every grade gets tracked.

How does it work?

Remember frantically searching for that syllabus PDF to check the professor's name? Or calculating your GPA on paper for the fifth time this semester? Courses eliminates all of that chaos.

When you add a course, it becomes a hub that connects everything. You can link classes, notes and tasks to courses to organize everything. Your grade goes in once, and your GPA updates everywhere.

Those three cards at the top of the Courses tab? They're your academic snapshot. Current GPA (calculated automatically!), total ECTS credits, and how many courses you've passed. No spreadsheets required.

Pro tip: Add all your courses on Day 1 of the semester β€” even the ones you might drop. Include professor names and ECTS credits immediately. It takes 10 minutes total and saves hours of confusion later. You can always archive or delete courses you drop.

Best practices

To get the most out of Courses, here's what successful students do:

  1. The semester setup ritual (do this Week 1):

    • Input ALL courses with correct course codes

    • Add professor full names (for email reference)

    • Include ECTS credits

    • Set the right semester and year

  2. Keep your data consistent:

    • Use correct course code naming like CS50

    • Professor format: "Prof. Michael Chen" or "Dr. Sarah Smith"

  3. Grade management strategy:

    • Add grades when you get them

    • Watch your GPA update in real-time

  4. Link everything religiously:

    • When creating a task β†’ link to course

    • When adding a class β†’ link to course

    • When adding notes β†’ link to course

    • This turns each course into a complete dashboard
